Alvin Robertson Charged with Sex Trafficking
A tweet by J.E. Skeets linked me to breaking news, learning the following:
Former NBA All Star Alvin Roberston has been charged with sexual assault and the trafficking of underage children for the purposes of forcing them to have sex. Robertson is currently being sought out by police in Texas. 7 others have been apprehended and charged.
A report by USA today indicates that Robertson has not yet been unable to be located.
What the hell is Alvin Robertson thinking?
Has he gone completely mad?
The reports also indicate the 47-year-old Robertson forced the under-aged child to perform at an adult strip club.
When looking deeper into this, I discovered that Alvin Robertson has a spotty past when living his post-NBA career as a law abiding citizen. He apparently has a knack for doing the wrong thing:
Robertson is a former NBA Defensive Player of the Year and league leader in steals in 1986, 1987 and 1991. But would anyone have ever imagined that would later somehow evolve into stealing children?
And then after stealing the, he would force them into having sex?
Sure, NBA players have violent criminal incidents occur. Some ex-players even resort to a life of dealing drugs and other extreme examples of professional athletes doing morbid and stupid things includes Michael Vick and dog fighting.
But sex trafficking? This takes things to an entirely new level. A sub-humane level at that. Pathetic.
This is extremely tragic. I hope that the full extent of law, to the harshest possible degree, is strictly applied to Robertson. I hope that the poor girl that experienced all these heinous acts can at least live the rest of her life knowing that Alvin Robertson is behind bars, and will never walk the streets again.
Hope you suffer in prison Alvin, and hope you never see the outside world again.
On top of that, I hope you get to experience the receiving end of the sex trade industry in prison.
