Does Julian Wright want out of New Orleans?

While perusing through twitter I noticed that New Orleans Hornets seldom used reserve Julian Wright tweeted statements indicative of his yearning to be on a different team:

So is Julian Wright thinking he needs a change of scenery? He had this to tell the The Times-Picayune.

Perhaps.

He has had a limited opportunity for development in New Orleans, especially while Byron Scott was coach. Young players need NBA minutes to develop their NBA abilities and a team/coach who is willing to accept the growing pains incurred while doing so.

Wright has a long and lean body that is NBA ready, and he is a high flier who defends well also possessing a strong ability to finish above the rim. Call him “Tyrus Thomas Lite” if you will.

But with his lack of playing time, and the somewhat irrelevant numbers it has yielded, what team is going to be interested?

When following up with Wright about his twitter commentary, he had this to say:

After I asked him if he was interested in an interview to discuss his thoughts, he declined to comment, other than the following:

It’s both understandable and commendable that Wright is not using social media to directly state his desire to leave New Orleans, but his tweets make the desires about leaving New Orleans transparent.
